Mrs. Amy Coleman-Diaz

My name is ​Amy Coleman-Diaz, and I am the principal at ​Mata Intermediate School. I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than ​20 years and principal at ​Mata for over 8 years. Before becoming a principal, I taught ​Bilingual 6th-grade reading here at Mata Intermediate and have served as ​Assistant Principal at Klentzman Intermediate and Sneed Elementary.

I graduated from ​Centenary College of Louisiana, where I obtained my ​Bachelor's degree in ​Health and Exercise Science.  I also earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

It is my priority to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn in a safe, inspiring environment in which academic excellence is expected. "Soaring to New Heights...Every Student, Every Day!" Go Eagles!
